Dessert Table Styling 101

My youngest son Spencer, just turned one. And as I thought about birthday themes, one stuck out in my mind- Time Flies. Because it really did! And so it began…

The first step in creating a cool {themed} dessert bar-is to choose a color scheme or theme, obvious right! I wanted to give off a cool retro airplane look-mission accomplished! Below are 5 tipsĀ on how to create a very cool dessert bar, plus some awesome photos of the dessert table and beyond!

1. Don’t over crowd the dessert table. Give every dessert its moment! Let guests actually see the yummy sweets…
2. Stay within a color palette of your chosen theme all the way thru.
3. Add a bit of whimsy to your table by using cake + cupcake toppers
4. Play around with different vessels that add height, like cake stands and glass jars. This creates depth within the design.
5. Include special touches like simple tags + signage. Vinyls are a great way to create a clean look and tie it all in!
